@amad - in a wordpress site, in my experience, the only page that show click heats is the page where most clicks are made. i have not look into the full features of this script because frankly, i don't intend to learn more of it. it's just a tool i'm using to see where visitors are clicking at my sites. check with the author to learn more.

Has anyone used this with a site with dropdown navigation?

I'm testing it out, and seeing the heatmap will show clicks on the page in only "resting" state (i.e. with the dropdown menu not expanded). I'm wondering if there's any way around this?

if you're using it in a wordpress or blog install, i don't think you can track each posts.

but if you have a static site, just click on javascript at the upper right (just like when you first installed the script to your site) input a name for the page you want to track (at "use keyword" button), copy the javascript result, test it by using the debug code and then try going to your site and click.

you should be able to see the result at the "website & group" dropdown menu.

hope that's what you're asking.

I guess it's working because it's showing a small window on my screen stating click heat has been initialised. Thanks

you're welcome. you're right, it should be anywhere inside the body tags. i just got used to inserting codes in the footer of any wordpress installation that's why i always recommend it.

Thank you so much for this post.

One question, though. Are you sure it's "footer.php" and not "header.php"?

I put it in "header.php" and it seems to work. It would also make sense, since the opening body tag would likely be there.
